Wireline Drill Rods (HQ/PQ Series)
Wireline drill rods are specially manufactured for deep mineral exploration drilling, where core recovery and borehole straightness are critical. Our rods are produced from alloy steels (4130, 4140, 4340), cold drawn, quenched & tempered, and CNC-threaded to withstand high torque and cyclic fatigue in demanding exploration environments.

Manufacturing Process
1. Material Selection – Alloy steel billets (4130, 4140, 4340, etc.) are tested for compliance.
2. Hot Forming – Billets are formed into tubular blanks.
3. Cold Drawing – Tubes are cold drawn for straightness, uniform OD/WT, and smooth surface.
4. Heat Treatment – Quenching & tempering for high strength and fatigue resistance.
5. Straightening – Multi-roll straightening to achieve tight straightness tolerance.
6. CNC Machining – Rod ends are prepared for thread cutting.
7. Threading – Threads cut with precision CNC machines (API, Q™, T, R-thread available).
8. Surface Protection – Black oxide, phosphated, or galvanizing for corrosion resistance.
9. Final Inspection – Straightness, dimensional tolerance, hardness, ultrasonic/NDT, and thread gauge testing.
