Manufacturing Process
1. Cold Rolling → thin-wall tube with precise tolerances
2. Forming & Welding (if applicable) → EN 10305-2 precision welding
3. Heat Treatment (Normalizing) → ensures stability and consistency
4. ID Polishing → Ra ≤ 0.4 µm for piston smoothness
5. Straightness Control → ≤ 0.5 mm/m for assembly accuracy
6. Testing & Inspection → dimensional, surface roughness, weld integrity
Advantages
·Excellent piston movement due to smooth bore finish
·Choice of steel grades → cost-efficient (E220/1010) or performance (25CrMo4)
·Lightweight design reduces vehicle mass, improves fuel efficiency
·High straightness & tight tolerances → consistent shock absorber performance
·Customizable finishes for corrosion resistance
Applications
·Passenger car shock absorbers
·Motorcycle suspension forks
·Truck dampers & light commercial vehicles
·High-performance racing shock absorbers (25CrMo4)
·Industrial vibration dampers
